Got fit in 6 months

I simply wanted to share my story. I've been working out at a new gym in my area, I love working out at the gym. But for the past 6 months I've been working out and not loosing weight on the scale or in measurements. I thought I could lift weight and do a little cardio and I would start loosing weight. I've realised that it took me 6 months simply to get fit enough to be able to really work out. I decided to get back on MFP, write down my foods, and push myself at the gym to cover the extra calorie intake. I finally lost 5 pounds in my 7th month. I am proud to say I did not give up and proud that now I can do 45 minutes to 60 minutes of intense cardio plus weight lifting, in the beginning I had trouble doing 10 minutes of cardio. The gym is my me time, kids are grown, it's my time. I'm proud that even though I did not loose weight until now, I'm proud that I can push my body during cardio, I am much more fit than I was 8 months ago. Only 75 more pounds to go! I got fit in 6 months, now for the next 6 months I will right down my food and exercise and the weight will come off and even better, I will be healthier.
