Running uphill

Does that build muscle in the Butt?. Tighten? I've just started going up a pretty steep hill and then walking fast down it then run back up 10x.

  • Not sure but when I run uphill my button aches the next day! It must be doing something
  • Sorry * butt * damn typo lol
  • Probably does. But doing it a lot isn't good for the achilles tendons. :/
  • Haha I know when I want to build up muscle/strength in my horses butt, we trot up and down hills :)

    Now that's a silly comment.

OP it will build strength and some muscle over time. Noticeable muscle gain unlikely though
  • hill training is amazing for overall training - cardio and lower body. it will help you burn fat faster and will give you some muscle definition in your legs and some size but not as much mass as say, squatting regularly. i would continue doing hill training!
