Good for you! I have lost 52 pounds over the last 15 months. I am very close to maintenance. I might ask for your help in maintaining. Are you at goal? Do you have any suggestions on changing over to maintenance?

Hi ,congrats for the 845MFP streak.

I just started two weeks ago. I am 222lbs, 6 feet 1⅝ inch. I would be 185 lbs. How long will it take? What do you think?

I've lost 45 pounds, still have a bit more to go to get to my target, but the best advice I can give is to have realistic goals, measure your food and stick with it. It's very easy to underestimate the amount of food you consume so having a scale is very beneficial to ensure you know how many calories you're consuming to stay on track. Also, doing both cardio and weightlifting is going to give you a jump start on both burning fat and making muscle.

As for how long it will take it depends on your body and how committed you are to your plan. I've been consistently losing 1.5 - 2 pounds a week but I workout 4-5 days a week and 99% of the time at or under my caloric goal and only eat back about 1/2 of the calories I burn. Assuming you lose 1.5 pounds per week, a fairly reasonable assumption, you could be at your target in ~25 weeks. You'll probably lose more the first few weeks though so you may reach this goal faster since you just recently started.

There is always going to be a temptation to eat an extra snack or skip a workout but you either give in and try to make up for it later or bite the bullet and accept that you strayed but there's always tomorrow.
